Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy (JMCP)
Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy is the official publication of The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, the national professional society dedicated to the concept and practice of pharmaceutical care in managed health care environments. AMCP's mission is to promote the development and application of pharmaceutical care in order to ensure appropriate health care outcomes for all individuals. Its sole purpose is to represent the views and interest of managed care pharmacy. The Academy has more than 4,800 members nationally who are part of more than 600 health care organizations that provide comprehensive coverage to over 170 million Americans served by managed care.
JMCP is peer reviewed, and includes the following content:
• Articles highlighting trends and recent developments
in managed care pharmacy;
• Updates from pharmacy educators about the inclusion
• Legal and regulatory updates;
• Peer-reviewed articles;
• Editorials;
• Continuing education articles, and
• News and information about the Academy and its activities.
Published each fall, the AMCP Membership Directory is a valuable and practical tool for the entire membership. AMCP members count on the Directory as a reference and resource guide throughout the year for contacts and collegial information. Advertising is accepted in the Directory and delivers a unique and effective vehicle for repeat ad review.
